Job Title:      Embedded test engineer

Location:      Bethlehem, PA

Exp.:             6 yrs

Start Date:     ASAP

Duration:       6+ months

Description:

• Testing of Protection, Control, and Automation and Communication products for electrical power systems (Medium Voltage products).
  
• Strong distribution protection application knowledge.
  
• Communication protocols (61850, DNP, Modbus) knowledge desirable.
  
• Power system operating practices knowledge.
  
• Knowledge about real-time embedded system.
  
• Strong protection system testing knowledge - knowledge of IEC and ANSI standards for Protection and Control products used in electrical power systems.
  
• Expertise in LabView and Database management preferable.
  
• Effective oral, writing and documentation skills.
  
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  
• Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.
• Experience with protection product testing, both in non-real-time and real-time environments, including simulation and field testing.
• Experience in automated testing environment of power system protection products either at a protection products design/manufacturing environment or at a power utility. Combined experience in both product development and utility environment is a plus.
• C programming knowledge is desirable.
