Role: Network Engineer

Location: Mt. Laurel or Chelmsford, MA

Long term contract

Face is a must

 

Job Requirements:

-M.S or BS. Degree in Electrical/Communications Engineering or Telecom

-A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a similar environment.

 

Experience in and with IP Transport Networks. She/he experienced with network deployments, systems, applications and architectures with installation, configuration, integration, evaluation, testing, documentation, and training. She/he develops and executes detailed network designs, specifications and architectural plans for IP Backbone architectures.

Hands on working experience with provisioning and troubleshooting Cisco routers including ASR9k, CR and NCS. In depth knowledge of IP Networks, OSPF & ISIS, BGP, MPLS, MPLS TE, QoS, Cisco IOS & IOS-X routers

BGP Peer/Transit/Core Traffic monitoring/trending/route balancing/route optimization -Change control/internal peer review of changes -Peer/Transit/Core Network latency monitoring/trending

An acceptable combination of academic qualifications and work experience may be considered in lieu of minimum requirements.

Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals and to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients and the customers.

Very High Skills - Ability to define problems, problem solving, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Knowledge of DWDM Optical Technologies is plus.
