Deerfield, IL
6 month contract-to-hire or direct hire (permanent) opportunity
 
Client will provide sponsorship towards GC if desired!!!
 
Job Description
Provide cross-platform operational support of middleware independently and with minimal direction. Install and configure products and product upgrades. Additionally, perform middleware monitoring and capacity planning as well as tuning and improving performance for products.
 
Professional Experience
Must have 5-10 years' experience as a TIBCO Administrator.
Experience supporting a production environment and performing typical administrative duties in a TIBCO 3.5 environment using both Windows and UNIX.
The ideal candidate will have completed at least one TIBCO implementation and know what to look for from an administrative perspective as well has what to expect and how to work with the vendors supporting TIBCO.
Experience with Systems Development Life Cycle methodology (SDLC).
Strong analytical and communication skills.
 
Technical Skills
Design, code and deploy TIBCO BusinessWorks application.
Prior experience developing TIBCO Hawk monitoring jobs.
Extensive experience using TIBCO Administrator.
Prior experience administrating TIBCO.
Design and solution expertise using the TIBCO application for web service interfaces.
Troubleshooting experience with multiple system interfaces (both internal and external applications).
Experience with migrating TIBCO to multiple environments and installing on new servers is a plus.
Experience with Connect:Direct (IBM) tool is a plus.
Hands-on experience with Unix and Windows platforms.
 
Duties and Responsibilities
Serve as product subject matter expert (SME).
Provide technical assistance to application developers on middleware related problems, successfully troubleshoot production issues application developers can't resolve.
May include writing build and deployment scripts.
Support production implementations.
Assess and make recommendations of best-practice solutions and/or new middleware and web technologies that will enhance the capabilities of the existing infrastructure.
Work with other teams to improve security, performance, back-up strategies and disaster recovery plans.
Perform upgrades/maintenance to product, coordinating installs and testing with the application teams, configuring environments (including patches, fix packs and version upgrades).
Monitor middleware performance and availability.
Ensure high-availability support for middleware systems (uptime).
