Please send resume in Word format if you are interested in this 2-3+ YEAR contract in San Antonio, TX 78229. Client is seeking a VMWARE Engineer who has experience w/ Windows. RedHat Linux is also required. The VMWare Engineer must have experience working w/ VMWare ideally VDI's and vCOps as well as some Capacity Planning. They are moving towards VDI and vCloud in the next 1-2 years. MUST be onsite in San Antonio for this role. COMMUNICATION SKILLS MUST BE EXCELLENT AS WELL!!!!

The Systems Engineer must have hands-on experience with day-to-day VMWare and Windows operations with application installation, support, testing, and troubleshooting skills, deployment and configuration experience, and virtualization experience.

High skill level and experience is required for the following:

Windows System Administration Skills (desired: Microsoft Windows 2008 and 2012). Application installation, support, testing, and troubleshooting skills. Virtualization Experience (desired: VMware)

Medium skill level and experience is required for the following:

Linux System Administration Skills (desired: Red Hat Linux). Experience with administration of load balance devices (preferred F5 Big-IP). Deployment & Configuration Automation Experience (desired: Cobbler, Blade Logic, and Puppet). DB Administration Experience (desired: Microsoft SQL, MySQL, or Informix). Demonstrated effective project management experience

Low skill level and experience is required for the following:

Backup and Restore Experience (desired: NetBackup). System Monitoring Experience (desired: Zabbix). Demonstrated VMware vCloud experience
