Role: QA 
Location: NY
Duration: 6 months

SCOPE OF SERVICES

The candidates will be part of a project team to perform software testing on applications (web and mobile) built using.NET framework (ASP / C# / VB). Testing will include software functional testing, performance testing and mobile application testing. The specific tasks include:

• Meeting with project manager, business analyst and development team to discuss business requirements, project testing timelines, testing scope, tasks and deliverables.
• Reviewing business requirements and technical specifications. Translating them into test scenarios and test cases.
• Preparing detailed test cases to ensure full requirements coverage.
• Performing usability and functional testing on the web-based application to verify that the application conforms to business requirements and work as expected by the business users.
• Performing usability and functional testing on the mobile-enabled application.
• Perform regression testing using mobile automation tool. 
• Recording and reporting issues found to project management and development teams.
• Attending daily or weekly project meeting with project management and development teams to discuss project status and reported test findings.
• Preparing and delivering QA sign off to project management before go-live. 

MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

• Strong technical skills and hands on experience with the following HP testing tools
• HP LoadRunner and HP Quality Center.
• Experience in using mobile automation tool for automated regression testing on mobile devices.
• Experience in test requirements planning, test scripts generation and execution, defects reporting and tracking.
• Experience in writing detailed test cases and test scripts based on business functional requirements and technical specifications documents.
• Must have a working knowledge of QA methodologies and processes. 

DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: 

• Familiarity with different system development techniques such as SDLC, Agile, etc.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
