WHY EXPERTS THINK THE PAPYRUS IS A FAKE

Critics have said that the fragment is a collage of pieces of the Gospel of Thomas by someone with a dubious grasp of ancient Coptic.
One scholar even claims to have found a typo in an online edition of the gospel, which matches one in what they say is a forgery.
Other experts have claimed that ink pooling suggests that the document was created in modern times.
Leo Depuydt, an Egyptologist at Brown University, said that none of the new tests have convinced him that the papyrus is a fake.
He wrote in the Harvard Theological Review that a forger may have 'wanted to put his or her own spin on modern theological issues' such as celibacy and the role of women in the Church.
'As a forgery, it is bad to the point of being farcical or fobbish. . . . I don't buy the argument that this is sophisticated. I think it could be done in an afternoon by an undergraduate student,' he said.
The provenance of the papyrus has also been questioned. The owner of the document has asked to remain anonymous but said that he acquired the artefact along with five other papyri in 1999 from a collector who got them in the 1960s in East Germany.

Oliya e? Ehen, fair comment, I'd say not. That's a preposterous comparison. The difference between what the exhumed tapes from FOX News [Fucksnews, I call them] is that there will be letigimate, verifiable documents and other sources of information which will obliterate that kind of weird finding.  And if ever that kind of controversy was to emerge, it will be kept amongst the niche of conspiracy theorists and troublemakers.

It may interest you to note that I believe there was such a historical character like Jesus. The only difference between our take on this person is that I don't believe he was the son of some god and in his cosmic or divine powers. If he did indeed have omnipotent powers, don't you think he would've invented the internet, printing press, cameras etc in his day in order to give a helping hand to his followers down the centuries and spare their blushess when they will be forced to defend his existence?

There are always power-hungry weirdos who emerge to make claims about their mysterious powers, so I don't doubt that a certain Jesus existed. Even today in Russia, there's a Russian Jesus (Documentary Exclusive) But the rest of the story gets even more bizarre, when we're told that he came to rescue us from our sins. Who said I was born in sin or have sinned? I don't need rescuing.

This becomes part of archives and history. Does it mean it is true? There has always been FOX NEWS CHANNELS throughout history. Just my take!

This tale just gets weirder and weirder. The old story of the life of Jesus Christ goes tits up, as "new facts," are exhumed!  I just don't know if it is the febrile atmosphere of commercial Christmas fast bearing down on us AGAIN; we the poor godless non-believers, skeptics, atheists and the lot, or there's some historical veracity to this recent yarn that debunks all preceeding tales. I'm a bit confused right now. I kind of liked the old Jesus without the paraphernalia of family to upset the applecart. I'm used to the itinerant celibate normad, straddling through the harsh deserts of the middle East in his long flowing robes, and
non-essenced hair, accompanied by his 12 male friends, turning water into wine, raising the dead, being anarchical in the temple etc. I'm a creature of habit and this new  story is one of the most bizarre yet of all the bizarre tales about the Messiah and I can't begin to get used to it. Tell me this ain't true!

Jesus's life and an assassination attempt on Mary Magdalene and their
two children. Professor of religious studies Barrie Wilson and
historical writer Simcha Jacobovici discovered an ancient manuscript
dating back 1,450 years in the British Library and spent months
translating it. The book claims Mary Magdalene was Jesus's soul-mate and
reveals the names of their two children. The alleged couple are
depicted in Antonio Allegri da Correggio painting, Noli me Tangere
(left) and Pieta by Sir Anthony van Dyck (bottom right). The Church of
England has said the work has more in common with Dan Brown's The Da
Vinci Code, than the gospels, pictured (top right) is Jesus and Mary in
The Last Supper by Da Vinci.
Further
claims from 'The Lost Gospel: Decoding the Sacred Text that Reveals
Jesus' Marriage to Mary Magdalene' will be released on Wednesday,
including the names of the two children.
The
book also elaborates on Jesus's alleged connections to top political
figures in the Roman Empire such as Emperor Tiberius and his best
friend, the soldier Sejanus.
