I whole heartedly support the views of Dr. Padma Misra. There was no interference for so many years from ministry because they were all hand in gloves to make money, what good did they do to the education in the country? Are people sitting in UGC, AICTE and all such bodies real academicians? This government is only a six months old government and no notable changes have been made in administration then how is it RSS and BJP planted people. And even if they are , how does it matter. Instead of politicizing the issue, forum should have intelligence enough to discuss on the pros and cons of a particular decision doesn't matter who took it.

What is wrong with swatch bharat..implementation..
What's wrong with swami vivekanad ..single girl child scholarship?
And why are we screaming over the removal of a foriegn language..that too which will become effective from next year? that too..will still be available as an option?
Wasn't english enough as a foriegn language?
Are we going to dump english and start studying and writing teaching.. ..in german?
In that case all of us should start studying german...pronto.
If sanskrit was implemented..that too from next year..what is wrong in that?
How is it an political agenda?
All ancient literature is in sanskrit...people don't know the language..so preachers..preach whatever they liked...as people forgot its use...they were..blackmailed, subjugated, exploited by those who knew the language...
Parts of text was only translated..so that illiterate in this language could be made to believe any kind of humbug.
Supersition..and all kinds of jhol..jhal. took roots...
Caste system became rigid...which was not so in vedic kal.
I know imagine a return to it..is thinking of impossible. It would need a massive cultural revolution..and many would secretly despise me for even thinking of it.
But sometimes..before it can happen ..u have to imagine its possible...
And ... when thousands learn this language...we can hope atleast there will be one student who would seek truth.
It is a long shot...but then there was only one raja rammohan roy, one swami vivekanand, and many others ones...before anything could change...
There is always only a single person..in the beginning...a single torch..to show the way..

The University Grants Commission (UGC) member M M Ansari has slammed the Union Minister for Human Resource Development (MHRD) Minister Smriti Irani for her "excessive interference" in the functioning of the commission and for taking "arbitrary and abrupt" decisions.
The first such attack on the minister by a serving UGC member comes at a time when she is in the eye of a storm for her ministry's decision to scrap German as a third language in Kendriya Vidyalayas.
"There is excessive interference from the minister in the UGC. One saw it in the FYUP issue, or in the way the ministry first decided on the Swacch Bharat implementation in the education sector and then informed us and asked us to send a circular to universities, or in how she announced the Swami Vivekanand scholarship programme for a single girl child without consulting us. The ministry has been simply imposing decisions. Any decision of the UGC should emerge from an exercise within the UGC," Ansari said.
The former CIC termed Irani's decisions as being "very arbitrary" and "abrupt" and alleges she was "too assertive". Ansari, who has been a UGC member since 2012, also questioned Irani's capabilities to lead the crucial education sector.
"The minister has no exposure of the education system. She has to depend on notes from bureaucrats, who have been well-planted by the government in the ministry, and think tanks comprising those from RSS and BJP. So how will she interact with academicians if she does not know the issues? It is demoralising for us," he said, adding "all appointments were being made bypassing procedures," reported Indian Express.
