Role: Windows Server Administrator
Location: CHICAGO, Illinois
Windows Server Administrator who has current hands on working experience of Windows Server 2003, 2008 and 2012. You will be responsible for maintaining documentation around process of Windows Server Patching, management of the change process and maintenance of regulatory, legal and professional standards. Youll need to be quick to adapt to change in the process, and drive those changes amongst the other teams when new processes are released. Youll manage the all phases of Windows patching including however not limited to: Assessing applicable patches on all versions of Windows, working closely with and providing timely communication with IBM and JLL teams to ensure all servers are patched on time per the patch release, working with the IEM team to schedule servers for patching, running reports to verify all patches have been applied, verifying servers have rebooted during the agreed upon maintenance schedule, opening / closing change records, collecting evidence of successful patch implementation, in-depth troubleshooting / resolution of servers that have failed the patch install, working with Microsoft and other teams to resolve issues. Run twice yearly missing patch reports and ensure all patches are applied and evidence collected. Running patch reports for new builds and assist in other Windows security remediation.
Must have strong current technical knowledge, excellent communication and troubleshooting skills. The ability to work independently and as a dedicated team member are required.
4+ years of hands on experience administering Windows Server 2003, 2008, 2012
4+ years of strong Windows Server 2003, 2008, 2012 troubleshooting Experience
Knowledge in BigFix / TEM / IEM is a highly desired
This will also require flexibility in the hours to cover managing the patches
