Efforts required for Indian design and manufacture innovative products:
Every American knows about "Bleeding Madras" , an innovative dyeing which changes the color at every wash. Now denim cloth invades the American market but the cloths are manufactured in many developing countries. All our day to day requirements are produced by MNCs in India. Tooth paste, tooth brush (Colgate), soaps ...Even though we produce coffee, the instant coffee, Nestle, comes from Switzerland,
We need critical thinking and problem solving abilities to Make in India.

Please consider the following facts:
We need to evaluate all programs against the needs of Indian economy and improve them to meet the challenges. Expand the capacity of the universities and improve the curricula, modernize the resources, develop the faculty and train the students to solve problems creatively.
This is one of the actions to be undertaken in 2015 by the states and the central government.

There is no particular time to experiment anything. If it can't work for India now, then when it is??? The idea is to bring foreign manufacturers/developers to India, encourage them to manufacture in their stuffs in India and then export to wherever they want. India may not need those items, but India is going to benefit by way of employment. If China and other Asian countries can do this and benefit, why can't India?
For all these we need to have a positive thinking.
