Job Title: Software Engineer ( GC/USC )

Location: Chicago | IL |

Duration : 6+Months Contract

Start : ASAP

 

 

Required Skills:

• Languages:  must have a working knowledge of at least three of the following or be very proficient in one and weak in a couple of them.  It's more about the fact they are able to learn new languages easily.

• Java, C#, C, C++ , Node.js, Ruby on Rails, Python, Ruby, PowerShell, Bash, VB script, PHP, Perl, JavaScript

• Automation (must have a working knowledge of one of the following): Chef, Salt, Ansible, Puppet, Juju, or Vagrant
• Cloud: Have worked in at least one of the cloud providers. A plus if it's Google or AWS 

• Experience using scripts / code to solve issues or repeated tasks 

 

For someone with development background:

• Would like to see some application architect / design experience.  Any system engineering skills a plus. 
• Strong OS (windows, Linux or mac) knowledge.  

• Prior experience working in a Scrum / agile environment. 

 

For someone with system engineering background:

 

• System/network architect and design (at any size) a must.  
• Knowledge of Scrum / agile methods is a plus.  
• Strong proficiency with scripting / development language skills are a requirement, even if it was for small scale projects (i.e. monitoring scripts, back scripts...).  
• Must be strong in windows or Linux, any flavor or version.
