Fw: Egregious Travel Agent Bertin Steve Patippe

 FYI .....

From: Michael Awasum <michaelawasum@yahoo.com>

An outrageous case of the victim being accused of the crime.

Reference to your posting, Wednesday, January 7th, 2015@1pm. (Also read deep down ):

Egregious Travel Agent Bertin Steve Patippe,
If you truly are innocent (if you truly did ticket airline reservations for 4), then pay back my money ($9,500.00). Hmmm!. Yes, $9,500.00.
Agent Patippe, by your own admission, it's been 30 days past cancellation, yet no refund.
It's been 60 days past cancellation, yet no refund.
And now we are creeping into 90 days past cancellation, yet no refund.
Agent Patippe, I continue to harbor resentment that you are a Fraud.
Sir, exonerate yourself.  Work to regain the trust that you have lost.  Pay back my money.
With expectant hope,
Michael Chibaka Awasum  MD, FCAP.

Dear Cameroonian Community,
With all the due respect to you all, permit me express my greatest disappointment with this so called "Lady Kate "if only she even exist. If at all she does exist then I believe she is just one of the accomplices of  Steve Patippe trying to invite more victims for Steve to pray on.
In May of 2014, a friend of mine referred me to  Steve Patippe to buy a flight ticket to Cameroon. I Contacted Steve and he gave me the exact price of $1800 which I paid immediately to his bank account. He then issued me a ticket and an itinerary. Only for me to get the the airport in July and got embarrassed. United Airlines told me my flight was only a reservation and was never paid for. I asked to speak with one of the managers and she actually showed me all the reminder detailed emails that  they had been sending to Steve Pattipe who did the reservation to pay for the ticket and he ignored all those emails until the ticket was canceled. At that point I called Steve Pattipe to ask him why he collected my money but never paid for the flight. All United Airlines wanted was that he pays the money even at that time and I should board the plane. Steve after realizing that I was the one calling claimed that my name was wrong on the ticket but United airlines said that was not an issue as long as he pays they will correct the name immediately, then Steve said "let me talk to the vague" and then never talked to me again. I called my friend who referred me to him and he called Steve to find out what happened but Steve also quit on him.
At that point I had to carry my bags and return to the Hotel hoping that Steve will call back and clear the situation. He never did, after two days of struggle and calling Steve to no avail I was left with no other option but to use all my savings for my trip to pay for another flight ticket. All these put me in a very difficult situation when I got to Cameroon because I had no money to do my wedding anymore, which was my reason for travelling.

Upon my return to the USA in August 2014, Steve would not respond to my phone calls. I then changed my  phone number and used the new number to called him and he answered, told me that he was going to pay my money back. Since then I tried to call him again and he would never pick up my calls.

I would very much welcome my money back without which I will follow up the matter sooner or later. I had never been that embarrassed. Yes, it is possible to confirm a ticket only if those reminder emails were coming to me instead of Steve, plus I paid for the deal and it was closed without any conditions that i would have to  confirm or reconfirm. Steve did not even pay a dim of my money to the United Airlines. I have all evidence of what I am saying as well as documents to pursue the case when time comes. Steve you Stepped on God's Child this time and you will know no peace until I am paid in full.

NB. Please, be very careful with people like Steve. Take your time and go online and shop for your flight tickets. Only God knows how many prays this man has in his net.

I am also ready for a common Law suit with others should he not settle my case.

Thank You

Donatus Ako.

To The Cameroonian Community

With permission from Steve Patippe, CEO of 2cTravel Corporation, I share an email he sent
to me to forward to the community in response to allegations made against him.  He is
not subscribed to most yahoo groups but wants his customers to read this.

I feel obliged to share because I know Steve personally and have a lot of respect for
him, works very hard to build his brand and he is someone who very often goes out of
his way to help travelers financially by accepting installments for tickets and if you ever
in difficulties he will take upon himself to see you through your journey.

I have also promoted some of his travel deals on the net and supported him as a Cameroonian brother.  It broke my heart to read of the disturbing accusations about him
while he had gone home for his mother's funeral. Upon return he called me and explained himself and i asked him to put it in writing.

It is not my place to judge anyone involved so please make of this what you may. I know most travel agents do not operate the way he does, installments, paying your ticket for you and you pay when you get back, i think all these have landed him in hot waters.

I believe we should build stronger communities than tear each other apart. I believe
no Cameroonian should extort or exploit another.  I am not a Lawyer or legal expert
but please take time to read Steve's response. My experience with 2c Africa travel has been hugely positive, he has sponsored the Miss Cameroon and Miss Africa Pageant and has helped a lot of Cameroonians who are Branding their businesses internationally to get discounted flights to travel to international competitions and shows.

I pray that that whatever these grievances are, as a people we can work amicably to settle them and continue to be of support to one another.

Sincerely

Lady Kate Atabong Ndi

Subject: THIS ARE THE STORIES

Helloo Lady Kate,

Hope this mail finds you well. Thank you very much for all the uplifting words.

Ooh yeah. When it rains, it pours!

I have not had a chance to read the mails and postings made by these people, and mostly by Rosemary Atanga, who is the person behind all of this.

I know some of these customers did trash talk my company.

1 - ROSEMARY ATANGA

She called me around June 2014 (as she always does, going back at least 5 years) to get a quote for a ticket to go home in Dec 2014. I gave her a quote for $1799 on BRUSSELS Airlines. She asked for additional discount, and we settled for $1,640 to be paid within a month. And I told her that after a month I could no longer guarantee that price. In late July 2014, she deposited a $1000 in my account. I was told her again that I could not guarantee the price I gave her because it was already a month after I made the quote. Obviously, she thought I was just joking since I have always took major losses on her tickets, going back 5 years. In  October, she deposited $240 and in mid November, she deposited about $400. At this time, the ticket price had jumped to $3275!!! After the last deposit she made, she started to harass me about the final ticket, and I had to send her a new temporary reservation; I asked her to wait a couple of days, hoping that the price may come down a little on Brussels Airlines. I proposed and she refused to take Ethiopian Airlines, who was pricing around $1,800. Unfortunately, I had to travel home in late November for my mom burial, with, unfortunately, not getting any international roaming from my cell phone carrier. That's the story. I could not afford to lose almost $2000 on her ticket.
Not being able to reach me on my cell phone (even though she could have sent me an email), she decided to start this awful campaign of trash talking my company. A company she had benefited from, for so long.

2 - Dr. Michael Awasum in Porto Rico

This is a perfect case of human stupidity.

He's claiming that his ticket, that he voluntary cancelled on Nov 18 because of the Ebola scare, was not paid for, and that I should refund the whole amount he paid, without subtracting any airlines and agency's penalties. He was supposed to travel on Dec 19 with his wife and 2 kids.

He joined Rosemary Atanga (his cousin) in this campaign until I came back from Cameroon to prove to him that his tickets were indeed paid for and issued by Delta.

ALL HE HAD TO DO WAS TO GO ON: WWW.DELTA.COM to see that the tickets were issued.

These are the details........

Lady Kate,

We serviced THOUSANDS of customers each year and issue THOUSANDS of tickets. Obviously, just like with any other business, we make our own share of mistakes; however, we always try to keep it as low as possible. And we do fix them whenever they do happen, and we apologize afterward.

20, 30 people complaining, is less than 0.001%  of our operational outputs.

- Many of those complaining are customers who tried to abuse or take advantage of us, just like ROSEMARY.
- Some of them are people we don't even know, and who have been sent out by our COMPETITORS to trash our business.

We always try to have the customers be aware of the following:

1 -

PRICES ARE NOT GUARANTEED UNTIL TICKETS HAVE BEEN ISSUED!
In addition, TAXES and FUEL Charges ARE NOT GUARANTEED, therefore,
are subject to change without prior notice OR until the reservation is
PAID IN FULL and TICKETED.
TICKETS AND RESERVATIONS ARE NON TRANSFERABLE. NO CASH REFUND ON MOST TICKETS AND RESERVATIONS.

2 - It's the CUSTOMER'S RESPONSIBILITY to RECONFIRM THEIR FLIGHT AT LEAST 72 HOURS before departure and BEFORE GOING TO THE AIRPORT!!!!!!

Africaly Yours,
