Our client is a global leader providing online education, assessment, remediation, certification and e-learning solutions for the post-secondary academic market specifically serving the nursing, allied health, sports medicine, public safety, and the financial services industries.
We are searching for a.NET Software Engineer for developing, testing, implementing, and maintaining software applications in a for-profit organization utilizing Microsoft technologies. This is a full-time position in our Leawood, KS office.
Responsibilities:
· Develop and support enhancements and new functionality for the ATI Nursing platform using cutting edge technology, including C# .Net 4.5, MVC, JQuery, Knockout JS, WCF, and SQL.
· Work closely with Platform Analysts, Scrum Masters, QA Analysts, Product Owners, and other cross-functional resources to define and deliver business impacting projects.
· Capable of working collaboratively with team members on different teams and in different locations.
· Provide technical expertise and troubleshooting as-needed to support production issues.
· Be willing to support deployments outside of work hours participate in an on-call rotation.
· Actively participate in all relevant agile ceremonies for each project iteration.
Required Skills
· Bachelor's degree in a computer related field and/or equivalent work experience.
· 1-4 years relevant experience in software development for web-based applications.
· Experience in Agile based development methodology or similar formal methodologies are required.
· Experience with the following programming languages: MS C#, JQuery, MVC, WCF, SQL, HTML5, CSS 3.0, and experience with a MVVM framework (e.g. Angular, Knockout) preferred.
· Demonstrated organizational and teamwork skills, strong attention to detail, and a willingness to participate in collaborative development projects.
· Excellent problem solving skills and an ability to translate a business scenario into a technical solution.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Description:
· We are searching for a Senior Developerin our software development unit. The developer will have responsibility for analyzing, developing and integrating code and database enhancements in a for-profit organization utilizing Microsoft technologies. This is a contract for hire position.
Responsibilities:
· Develop applications and web applications in primarily .Net technologies.
· Achieve product delivery dates and plan for product enhancements.
· Capable of working with team members in a virtual setting across multiple geographies.
· Contribute to development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives and process improvement programs.
· Creating, maintaining, and troubleshooting source code in a complex codebase.
· Operationally support a large software as a service platform
Required Candidate Experience & Qualifications:
·
· Bachelor's degree in a computer related field or equivalent work experience.
·
· 5 to 8 years' experience in application development, utilizing primarily Microsoft and open source technologies including but not limited to: C#,Silverlight and ASP.NET,MVC, HTML5, CSS3, KnockoutJS, jQuery.
·
· Strong experience in SQL Server, performance tuning, T-SQL, stored procedure creation.
·
· Experience with Mobile Web, and Test-Driven development preferred.
·
· Experience with service oriented architectures including WCF, RIA services, RESTful services.
·
· Practical experience in Agile based development methodologies.
·
· Capable of working independently as well as a strong team player.
·
· Excellent problem solving skills related to applying appropriate technology to business problems.
·
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
·
· Experience with Federal 508 compliance is desired but not required.
