Join our client as a Senior Storage/SAN Administrator on a contract position in Harrisburg, PA through the end of 2015 with potential extensions. In this role you will be responsible for the following:
• Manage server and storage hardware design and implementation, provision of resources for application development and hosting and end-user technical support.
• Design, document, install, and support all software and hardware required to provide needed storage and backup functionality and security.
• Install, configure, maintain and operate SAN and NAS. Update hardware firmware as needed to provide needed functionality and security. Hardware includes IBM, EMC, Brocade. Oracle (Sun) and others.
• Monitor systems and provide information and statistics relevant to system capacity limits on data storage, system utilization, etc. with enough lead-time to avoid system crashes and data loss.
• Install, tune, upgrade, troubleshoot, and maintain all storage and backup relevant to the supported applications including all necessary tasks to perform operating system administration, user account management, and networking configuration.
• Provide data backup and restoration services.
• Develop and follow standard operating procedures for common tasks to ensure quality of service.
• Experience managing large scale storage environments with multiple petabytes of storage across the enterprise
• 10+ years of experience managing a multiple vendor storage environment, preferably IBM and / or EMC with Brocade/Cisco SAN switching
• Experience designing, implementing and maintaining storage and backup solutions including SAN and NAS
• Experience providing systems usage statistics for use in overall capacity planning initiatives.
• Experience with deployment of hosting systems, preferably those at co-location facilities.
• Experience installing, configuring/maintaining disk to disk data replication solutions such EMC Avamar/Data Domain and Oracle zfs
Required Skills:
· BS or equivalent +5 - 10 years directly related experience, with certifications in at least one (1) or more of the following is highly desired:
-SNIA Certified Storage Networking Expert (SCSN‐E)
-CompTIA Storage+ Powered by SNIA certification

Join our client as a Storage/SAN Administrator on a contract position in Harrisburg, PA through the end of 2015 with potential extensions. In this role you will be responsible for the following:
· Delivers and leads team in the delivery of second level remote hardware and software support services to clients to resolve product use and multi-product/platform problems, and/or questions relating to enterprise systems, networks and application software, as well as desktop applications that are beyond the scope of the client's first level help desk support function.
· Provides referrals and/or dispatches to other service providers to ensure that client's service level and technical requirements are met.
· Coordinates critical customer issues as well as new product and/or system implementations.
· Prepares, approves and coordinates the implementation of technical documentation and ensures that technical and customer documentation is current and complete.
· Initiates process improvements for internal and external customers.
· Identifies and performs a variety of independent analysis and problem resolution assignments.
· Defines approaches and provides extensive business and/or technical expertise to attain objectives.
Required skills:
BS or equivalent + 5 - 7 years' experience in storage technologies (EMC), troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
