communicating thoughts identifying problem, and developing solutions in a group of
people.
I think that simulation of an environment of a company as a starting context of case
discussion would help the students much better. The results of implementing decisions
within the simulated company will enable the students to realize the effects of their
decisions also.

The real pedagogical question which we are addressing at Harvard through HBX is how to
achieve "Scale and Speed" in imparting management Skills through extensive
use of technology. This will happen without compromising the case methodology which
brings the science and art of management to life.
I really believe a large collaborative platform of MTC would be the solution and will
help millions of wannabe MBAs and young executives

When we say case studies are going out of the system, we are referring to the top 200 B
schools where it is a part of the teaching methodology. These colleges will
be jumping into a laboratory experiment / environment and entrepreneurial / innovation
frame-work. Some already started.
But for 90% of colleges/ institutions, it is a different story.
They are running MBA/ PGDM/ Distant MBA/ Specialized MBA programs without doing Case
Studies. It is is unknown - here & there. The focus is completing syllabus, marking
attendance, awarding high scores, giving certificates.
Firstly, students from these colleges & institutions must start doing many case studies
in each subject. A case study method of teaching
initiates & develops the analytical skills, problem solving skills, inter dependence,
innovative thinking, industry awareness, among other benefits like presentation skills,
team work, etc.No wonder, these candidates end up with small jobs, Govt jobs for the
entitled based on caste considerations. Then, they can graduate to the level mentioned
above.
