Job Title: Senior Java Developer

Location: Franklin Lakes, NJ

Duration: 6+ Months

 Job Responsibilities:

• Serve resource responsible for development of applications and systems
• Serve as the subject matter expert in all phases of design and development;
• Ensure the proper translation and validation of system requirements into software design through iterative sessions with Product Management and other SME's
• Implement and enforce engineering best practices using modern standards and patterns
• Review unit test plans, tests, and code coverage to ensure high quality delivery
• Implement engineering excellence by enforcing regular code reviews, continuous integration, high test code coverage, on-going code refactoring and adequate documentation
• Ensure correct usage of industry standard software and frameworks

Skills and Experience Required:

 

Mid to Senior Level (6-8 Years)

 

Expertise with:

• Java programming
• XPath expressions & functions
• XSLT
• Mule ESB platform to deliver SOAP & REST based APIs (a plus) / Any ESB experience would work
• Deep understanding of SOA design principles and best practices
• Deep understanding and implementation of web services
• Coordinate across multiple teams to deliver complex projects successfully
• Self-motivated, detail oriented
  
• Excellent verbal and written technical documentation skills

Job Title:  Sybase DBA

Location:  Columbia, MD, Charlotte, NC OR Minneapolis, MN

Duration: Through 10 – 18 months

Position Description:
Plans, analyzes, designs, implements, maintains, and controls the organization's WDM databases. Consults with and provides guidance to database users and client groups, often recommending tactical and strategic solutions. Performs complex server-class database activities across various platforms and environments including one or more of the following: business requirement identification and analysis; conceptual, logical, and/or physical database design; data modeling and/or mapping; moderate to complex programming and coding to automate and/or support the database environment; performance monitoring and tuning; analyzing database metrics and assisting with capacity planning; planning, testing, configuration and execution of installations, upgrades and migrations; and implementing security controls. Leads, mentors and/or provides guidance to less experienced database analysts, where applicable, including guidance for troubleshooting escalated issues. May participate in the development of data/ database architectures and management policies, procedures and standards; May lead moderately complex projects.

Minimum Qualifications
• 5+ years Sybase (v15.x) database administration experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skill and basic technical project management experience.
• Knowledgeable in SQL query performance tuning, DB tuning parameters, administration, maintenance and monitoring for Sybase 15.x ASE and Replication Server 
• Unix (Solaris preferred), backup, database mirroring, database replication, transaction log shipping experience
• Experience working in a standards-based environment with strong change management processes
• Good business sense with fundamental understanding of financials, accounting analysis, and statistical modeling.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Econometrics, or Operations Research or equivalent experience.
