STRONG CORE JAVA, AND FINANCE BACKGROUND

 

The Strategic Risk Program (SRP) is a large, multi-year program that has the goal of producing bank-wide intraday aggregated risk on demand, enabling more effective capital allocation, more effective trading decision making and more effective risk oversight across the Investment Bank.

 

The Business Solution group is tasked to use the SRP strategic components to provide risk solutions to business groups.

 

This is global team with members in US, UK and Poland.

    

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

Responsibility Work as part of a small team in design and implementation of various components in SRP Work with business analysts and project managers Communicate design ideas and take part in peer reviews Interact with other IT developers who are users of said components

Skills and Attributes Required:

Common Requirement Pro-active, self-starter, able to pick up an issue, and take ownership through to successful delivery Efficient communications with global team members and other colleagues Team player Develop and unit test code in a rapid moving and changing environment Strong design skills and ability to work independently and in a team setting. Strong problem solving skills   Skill and Experience 4 years of experience with IB front office risk system Experience of being involved in delivering large scale distribute systems Experience with multi-threaded distributed systems Experience with messaging systems Experience with core Java Strong background in data analysis within complex software environments Capable of describing practical day-to-day analysis techniques used in order to achieve goals   Java Skills •          Deep understanding of core Java libraries such as concurrency, collection and networking •          Demonstrable Java testing skills (e.g. JUnit or Mockito) •          JDBC is a plus •          Java2D, JPA, JMS are plus •          One or more of followings are a plus: Hadoop, Cassandra, MongoDB   . Experience with Excel Add-ins a plus •          Experience with ExcelDNA a plus

Education/Professional Qualifications:

Essential: Undergraduate degree in computer science or similar (e.g. math or EE)
