Skills

Need a technical business Analyst. The ideal candidate will analyze and develop solutions for our client's Enterprise Data Warehouse, understand business requirements, identify data related pain points and document required changes to create solutions.

This role will help the Solution Architect in the design, development, and implementation of large scale multi-terabyte Data Warehousing and Client-Server applications spanning Business, Financial, and other related impact areas of the retail business.

Work closely with DBA's, BI Architects and other Technical Data Analysts at our client.

Should have experience in using database tools to run complex queries and view the datasets and their relationships and create Business Requirement Documents (BRDs).

Required Skills

• 4-6 years - Overall IT Experience.
• 3-4 years – Experience working with Business users in Retail Commerce / Ecommerce / Store Operations Industry and create Application Development Specifications.
• 2-3 years - Leading technical business analysis efforts including project planning, design and data conversion/migration.
• 1-2 Years - experience in understanding and using SQL for Business requirements
• Experience of Retail Commerce Business is a must.
• Teradata or similar Relational Database experience is a must.
• Expert knowledge of using Microsoft Excel and Power Point to create business documents.

Desired Skills

• Datastage /Abinitio /Informatica
• ETL experience is a plus.
• Experience with any of the following technologies would be considered a plus:
• Erwin Data Modeling Tools such as Erwin, SQL Server Reporting Services, SQL Server Analysis Services 2005/2008.
• Knowledge of Data Mapping base design and deployment is a plus.

Project Description

• Ability to apply business and technical knowledge to understand technical direction and priorities.
• Have proficiency with SQL Development, Data Analysis and Reporting with the ability to quickly comprehend business rules spanning diverse RDBMS platforms, and Software Development environments to design and build easy to use solution while adhering to the standard software development life cycle methodology and standards.
• Demonstrate knowledge in analyzing multiple business areas in the retail commerce organization.
• Participate in the Database Analysis process for the development of Data Warehouse solutions.
• Design and develop Requirements Mapping using Excel Spreadsheets, user interfaces (Dashboards, Scorecards, Report Services Documents, FFSQL Reports, Grids and Graphs).
• Effectively translate requirements into a solid technical design and a mapping document.
• Understand and drive JAD (Joint Application Design) sessions with business users as related to the project scope.
• Identify and Resolve Data Related issues and Business Rules around them.
• Problem solving and analytic skills.
• Knowledge of creating and executing SQL Queries using SQL Client tools.
