1.      Network Design Engineer

Location:  Work from home – candidate must be within 150 miles of Harrisburg, PA

1 position

 

The Senior Network Design Engineer is a member of a mission critical data center network operations team. The team's primary responsibility is the management of a Cisco network infrastructure supporting hundreds of Microsoft Windows server instances, Unisys and IBM mainframe/mid-range, and AIX platforms.

Key Responsibilities
- Functions as technical lead on complex network troubleshooting issues and incoming design and architecture requests.
- Administer and maintain high availability, enterprise, datacenter network in support of client SLAs
- Develop configurations of Cisco switches and routers series such as Nexus 7000, 5000, 2000 and Catalyst 6500, 3800, 2800, etc. Familiarity with Cisco Virtual Switching System (VSS) preferred.
- Proficient with management of Juniper firewalls using CLI and Junos Space.
- Administer F5 Load-Balancing modules for application delivery and load balancing.
- Proficient with EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, VLANs, Wireless LANs and VPN appliances.
- Assess current and proposed network designs and proactively makes recommendations based on customer requirements.

- Support enterprise tool sets from Splunk, Juniper, Cisco, and HP ArcSight for security monitoring of system logs, event correlation, and performance analysis.
- Assess team's process delivery and makes recommendations for process improvements.

- Focus on operational changes, incident response, and problem management using ITIL aligned procedures and tools (ITSM).
- Participate in solution architecture meetings design meetings
- Provide Technical Peer review with Design Engineers.

Technical and Behavioral Skills
- 7+ years of experience as a Network Engineer with emphasis on data center network security, and routing/switching, standards/best practices, design, and implementation
- Advanced Cisco certifications highly desired (CCIE, CCNP, CCDP, CCSP, etc.)

- Subject Matter Expert (SME) level network routing and switching, concept, design and support experience
- Proven operational experience with high availability, enterprise data center networks.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills to clearly communicate with clients are a must.
- Familiarity with ITIL v3 based service delivery model using change/incident/problem management highly desired.
- Must be available to participate in an on-call rotation.

 

2.      Network Engineer With Security experience

Location:  Work from home – candidate must be within 150 miles of Harrisburg, PA

DESCRIPTION:

The Network Engineer is a member of a mission critical data center network operations team located in Harrisburg, Pa. The team's primary responsibility is the management of a network infrastructure consisting of multiple technologies and vendors such as, Juniper, Cisco, Imperva and F5.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Functions as technical resolver on complex network troubleshooting issues.
  • Administer, monitor and maintain high availability for an enterprise datacenter network in support of client SLAs
  • Configuration of Cisco switches and routers series such as 6500, 3800, 2800, etc. Familiarity with Cisco Virtual Switching System (VSS) preferred.
  • Management of Juniper (SRX) firewalls.
  • Administer F5 Load-Balancing modules for application delivery.
  • Management of Imperva, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Web Application Firewall (WAF) and Data Base Firewall (DBFW).
  • Familiar with EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, VLANs, Wireless LANs and VPN appliances.
  • Assesses current and proposed network designs and proactively makes recommendations based on customer requirements.
  • Will perform other duties as assigned.
  • Participate in solution architecture meetings and design meetings
  • Provide Technical Peer review with senior Design Engineers.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • Must pass an extensive background check.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Network Engineer with emphasis on  data center routing, switching, and network security standards/best practices, design, and implementation
  • Cisco certifications highly desired (CCNA, CCNP, CCSP, etc)
  • CompTIA Security +
  • GIAC Security Essentials Certification
  • Proven operational experience with high availability networks, is a must.
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written to clearly communicate with clients and team members, is a must.
  • ITIL v3, Foundations, desired.
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience operating network equipment such as: firewalls, load balancers, routers and switches, in a high availability, high capacity environment.
  • Have ability to participate in an on-call rotation.

 

3.      Network Security Engineer

Location:  Work from home – candidate must be within 150 miles of Harrisburg, PA

The Network Security Engineer is a member of a network security operations team supporting multiple enterprise data centers for a large public sector client. The engineer's primary responsibility is the ongoing management and administration of the network security environment, utilizing technologies from various vendors including Juniper, Imperva, and McAfee in a Cisco network.  The Security Engineer will be primarily responsible for policy configuration and security monitoring of Juniper SRX Firewall and IPS, Imperva WAF and Database firewall products, and the McAfee Data Loss Prevention system.  A strong background in network security is required and the successful candidate will have strong Unix/Linux, HTTP, HTML, and SQL knowledge and experience in their portfolio, as these technologies rely heavily on this understanding.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Develop configurations for, deploy, administer, and maintain, Imperva web application firewalls & database firewalls, Juniper IPS & VPN systems, and McAfee network based Data Loss Prevention (DLP) devices.
  • Develop configurations for, deployment and maintain F5 network load balancers, custom scripting and tuning to support customer application delivery needs
  • Support enterprise tool sets from Splunk, Juniper, Cisco, and HP ArcSight for security monitoring of system logs, event correlation, and performance analysis.
  • Coordinate and support vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, and compliance reporting (CJIS, IRS, SSAE16, among others) in conjunction with various experts and stakeholders.
  • Focus on operational changes, incident response, and problem management using ITIL aligned procedures and tools (ITSM).
  • Participate in rotating on call response team to meet Service Level Agreements in a 24/7/365 production environment.

REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • Must pass an extensive background check.
  • Proven operational experience with high availability networks.
  • Experience with the development of configurations, installation and ongoing support of: Imperva WAF and DBFW, Juniper SRX, McAfee DLP, and F5 Load Balance devices.
  • Knowledge of data network fundamentals including switching, routing, and associated protocols (Ethernet, TCP/IP, SNMP, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, etc.)
  • Familiarity and experience with regular expressions
  • Network/Security certifications highly desired (Cisco CCNA/CCSP, Juniper JNCP, Check Point CCSA, CISSP, etc.)
  • GIAC Security Essentials Certification
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written to clearly communicate with clients and team members is a must.
  • 7+ years of experience as a Network Security Engineer with emphasis on  security standards/best practices, data center networking, and design, and implementation
  • Must pass an extensive criminal background check and be a US Citizen

Participate in on-call rotation to support 24x7x365 operations

 

4.      Capacity Analyst – need to have TeamQuest experience

Location:  Harrisburg, PA    -this is not a remote position

Join our client for an exciting project as Capacity Analyst for a 9 month contract. Candidate will provide Capacity Management services for a multi-tenant distributed system and mainframe environment utilizing the TeamQuest Capacity Management tools in an ITIL environment. This position will be located on-site in Harrisburg, PA. 
Tasks
o Work with client architects and account team to maintain an up-to-date Capacity Plan which reflects the current and future needs of the business 
o Develop a comprehensive monthly capacity report using Java or Groovy along with HTML and CSS that will help in identifying capacity issues in the environment and provide recommendations to resolve issues.
o Lead regular Capacity meetings with client
o Provide advice and guidance to all other areas of the business and IT on all capacity- and performance related issues 
o Ensure that service performance achievements meet or exceed all of their agreed performance targets, by managing the performance and capacity of both services and resources 
o Assist with the diagnosis and resolution of performance- and capacity-related incidents and problems 
o Assess the impact of all changes on the Capacity Plan, and the performance and capacity of all services and resources 
o Ensure that proactive measures to improve the performance of services are implemented wherever it is cost-justifiable to do so 
o Decide which infrastructure components need upgrades at what time
o Provide analytical modeling of "What if scenarios to support demand forecasting and tech turns
o Maintain the capacity management process and capacity management documentation 

Desired Skills
o Excellent English Communications Skills, Written and Verbal 
o Experience leading capacity management process in a large environment
o Excellent client interfacing skills capable of doing client presentations (Technical & Executive Level)
o Experience with ITIL Capacity Process
o Experience with TeamQuest Capacity Management Tools (CMIS, Analyzer, Surveyor and Predictor)
o Experience with TeamQuest analytical modeling using Predictor 
o Experience in TeamQuest report development using Java, Groovy, HTML, and CSS
o Experience with Windows, UNIX, VMware, Network, and SAN technologies and performance analysis of those technologies. 
o Familiarity with Nagios and SolarWinds
o Experience in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project)

Experience
o 5 years capacity management experience
o 3 years technical experience on a technology such as UNIX or Windows
