Re: [MTC Global] MBA faculty Criteria

respected sirs' ....if the vice-chancellors and the heads of the departments are little strict, it may not be that difficult to change the prevailing conditions in higher education at large and the higher education in private colleges in particular.....

....several private managements which are earning crores of rupees are not paying even minimum wages, say rs.25,000/- to those working as asst. professors....

....unfortunately, vice-chancellors, who are working more as political representatives in university campuses' are unable to do anything lest their services are terminated on one pretext or the other, if possible, governments may instigate  a fake agitation by a section of rowdy students union leaders who have nothing to do with academics.....

.....by nature, vice-chancellors, heads of the departments and academicians at large are highly humanistic in nature....the only thing is , little courage and intellectual honesty will once again bring them back the lost glory of academicians....

Reading his mail I was shocked.
I like to say to all young faculty members on this forum do not ever resort to such extreme measures.
Its really not that bad. Every business goes through a correction. Higher education has become a business and its time for correction.
Something good will come of this in the long run.
Thanks and regards

I am a faculty in the middle of my career. I wish I could do my mann ki baat ..and broadcast without any fear.
But I am a faculty in the middle of my career, so speech is silver and silence in golden.
Except it..higher education is one big messy soup...
Wake up...its a fish market out there...
Existing phds and PGs don't have a decent job.
The salary structures are so ridiculous...Its like that BOGO..deal going the rounds...(we wana buy one faculty so that other comes free)
What a value our work has degraded too.?
When we contest we deserve more...we are shown rules from AICTE and UGC the same that being flouted by them the employers
Its so fustrating...that if I hadn't spend years of holidays, vacations, every festival, all the birthdaysand anniversaries of my parents...and slept not more then 5 hours for a decade... on earning them .....I did love to TORCH my degrees..especially the PHD and PG..
.......................................................
I could convince him not to resort to such a step as burning ones degrees and PHD thesis.
But the conditions are really bad.
