Job Title: SAP Hana Architect
Location: Open for relocation
Duration: Long Term
Job Description
The SAP HANA Architect position will be responsible for analysis, architecture, and design of complete big data solutions, including data acquisition, storage and transformation. Must be a results oriented individual, who can readily demonstrate comprehensive use of agile software development principles to achieve the desired business outcome. Will be expected to take a leadership role and must be capable to not only know Data Warehouse standards and best practices, but also be driven to create new ones.
Responsibilities:
* Analyze large scale data to identify new analytics, insights, trends and relationships with a strong focus on SAP HANA
* Design and implement real time, contextual analytics to optimize strategies
* Design and monitor construction of an enterprise data warehouse including SAP BW/BI on SAP HANA
* Design and monitor construction of user-facing presentation tools
* Define best practices and standards for the data modeling process
Abilities:
* Excellent understanding of Big Data Analytics platforms and ETL in the context of Big Data
* Expert knowledge of SAP HANA and SAP BW implementation on HANA
* Ability to work with a variety of teams and clients, mentoring junior resources, and effectively handling multiple tasks/deadlines with success
* Excellent communication and documentation skills, especially when communicating technical concepts to a non-technical audience
* Strong leadership skills, motivation to keep abreast of emerging technologies and pick up new skillsets quickly
* Ability to travel a must. Travel will be upto 80% from central office location
Desirables:
* 10+ years of experience in the Business Intelligence field in a data warehouse environment which includes data design, data integration, database architecture and report creation
* Demonstrated experience designing and developing complex data platform architectures for various financial reporting purposes
* Strong experience in data architecture (Data Warehousing, Data Marts, Staging).
* Previous experience with high-scale SAP BW and SAP BWA Implementations
* Previous experience with high-scale or distributed RDBMS (Teradata, Netezza, Greenplum, Aster Data, Vertica etc)
* Strong experience with data warehousing technologies and ETL tools
* Experience/Exposure to Business Objects or equivalent BI tools a plus
Minimum qualifications:
* Master's / Bachelor's degree in Computer Science
* Able to show track record in designing useful, consumer-oriented SAP HANA applications
