Role: HP 3PAR and EMC VMAX Array SAN administrator
Location: New York City
Resource must be a HP 3PAR and EMC VMAX Array SAN administrator, The Resident will design the array architecture and perform and manage all day to day SAN Administrative activities. The resource is to serve as an extension of Customers Operations team and his primary responsibility are, but not necessary limited to, the following:
- Provide day to day administration of the enterprise storage systems SAN / Storage environment
- Assist with creation of Snapclones and other file copy/movement/management as necessary
- Daily analysis of SAN utilization and disk capacity
- Execute SAN virtual disk provisioning
- 3PAR and VMAX Design and Layout Planning plus Implementation Support
- 3PAR and VMAX Storage Reporting Design and Implementation support
- 3PAR and VMAX Allocation Design and Implementation Support
- 3PAR and VMAX Lab Testing and Support
- Implement and Maintain 3PAR and VMAX Performance Reporting Systems documentation and configuration information
- Assist in file and system restorations
- Keep software and firmware version current, ensuring compatibility with all components in the infrastructure
- Perform other functions as required

May seek advice in order to make decisions on complex business issues.5+ years of professional experience and a Bachelor of Arts/Science or equivalent degree in computer science or related area of study; without a degree, three additional years of relevant professional experience (8+ years in total). Demonstrate strong knowledge in at least three major technology areas. Technical expertise is sought after and provided to several projects/accounts. Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of assigned technology and discipline area. Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of corporate organization and policies. Advanced level business, technical, or functional knowledge.
