Dear Sir, I think that Nalanda University was set up to be a world class university with
a Nobel laureate as its head. We ought to remember that world class universities in a
poor country such as India does entail substantial costs and these are essential. So
merely considering Dr Swamy's opinion as true would be to judge a person unfairly.
India is a land where corrupt practices are followed. So people invariable associate
corrupt practices with large spends. However, it is important to find out the motive for
indulging in corrupt practices.
There seems to be none as far as Dr Sen is concerned. He is a respected figure in
academic. He is living in a developed country and has a comfortable lifestyle also. He is
also influential as a thought leader. So, one would be hard put to attach any charges of
wrong doing on Dr Sen. Perhaps it is best left to other investigators to pursue Dr
Swamy's charges.

that the charges levied by DR SS, if true, dictate immediate removal of DR Amartya Sen.
If the latter is true, i.e., charges are indeed valid, why the board will reappoint him
unanimously? Go figure!
I think someone who knows Dr Azad could shed useful light on what is going on.

I think Dr. Amartya Sen is a citizen of US. How a foreigner can be appointed
as VC of any Indian University? Can some body enlighten me.
The alleged charges leveled by Swamy are very serious and of a great concern
to the future of this Country. If the charges are true, even the God will
fail to set things right in India.
