Project Description:

The candidate will be part of the Platform Resiliency initiative within Comcast, which is aimed at improving the stability of several key systems through a combination of tactical improvements, system consolidation and strategic re-architecture for future scale and extensibility.  Within this large initiative, the Java Architect/Developer will serve on the Enterprise Event Processor (EEP) team under the "Constructicons" vertical and will be responsible for designing, developing, and unit testing enhancements to that strategic enterprise-wide messaging platform.

 

Skills:

MUST HAVE TECHNICAL SKILLS

·         Java / Java EE

·         JMS and MDB

·         SOAP (JAX-WS) web services

·         Spring

·         Hibernate / JPA

·         Relational database development (Oracle or MySQL or SQL Server, etc.)

·         Maven

·         Subversion

·         WebLogic or Apache Tomcat

 

PREFERRED TECHNICAL SKILLS

·         Agile / Scrum methodology

·         Jenkins

·         AppDynamics

·         Spring JMS

 

MAJOR PLUS TECHNICAL SKILLS

·         NoSQL (MongoDB or Cassandra or CouchBase or Hadoop)

·         Cloud/PaaS (Cloud Foundry or OpenShift or Open Cloud)

·         Kafka / Storm
