Direct Client Need: VP-Product Manager , NYC-Fulltime with Client

Title:                VP-Product Manager

 Location:         New York, NY   

Position:          Full Time

Client:              Direct Client (Banking Domain)

 

 

 

Objectives/Activities:

  • Enable client to anticipate market and regulatory requirements and sustain client's market leadership through support for these changes
  • Enhance client's thought leadership position through production of marketing collateral, public speaking, and social media presence
  • Increase client's market share in Americas by identifying new market opportunities, assisting with pre-sales & sales prospecting
  • Influence software delivery through advocacy, follow-up on introduction of Product features, functionality into the delivery process
  • Create/maintain regional product roadmap
  • Provide Product Management inputs to on-going "Layered Architecture” project

 
Skills, competencies & experience

  • In-depth understanding of payments landscape, trends in the Americas. In-depth understanding of how payments fit in overall banking business
  • In-depth knowledge of Client 's product portfolio or a similar payment product/system is required
  • Provide authoritative coverage of the Americas market (regulations, initiatives, trends), drawing on analyst research, relationships with regulators and key contacts at leading banks and public sources.
  • Translate insights from various data sources (market analysis, clients, sales prospects, regulators, competitors) into actionable product strategy/plans, advocate inclusion of product features with delivery-facing product managers/Client/SMEs
  • Thought leader – evangelize, publish white papers, speak at conferences, assist marketing with press and analyst relations in the region, participate/lead regional product council/user group
  • Excellent writer, presenter, dynamic public speaker, highly effective in relating to people at all levels (VP to C-levels)
  • Experienced in managing/delivering COTS software products (in preference to one-off custom developments)
  • Multilingual – as needed for LatAm
  • Ability (and desire) for extensive and frequent travel in the region
  • Ability to affect positive change across sales, marketing and delivery through FAQs, practices to remove confusion, product & market education, debriefs, etc.
  • Ability to effectively influence stakeholders is required; Ability to directly manage a small team of
  • Product Specialists is desired
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and progress key initiatives in an information overload environment
  • Strong experience in providing product inputs to delivery to improve (quality, speed, fit for purpose) the product delivery.
