Job Description

POSITION PURPOSE:

 

As a Salesforce Engineer, you will be a critical part of the services that the company provides worldwide.  This position will be responsible for the design and development of new and existing Salesforce/APEX applications. You will participate in the full SDLC, using theAgile/Scrumdevelopment methodology.  You will need the ability to collaborate with your project teammates, as well as work independently and under little supervision at times.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

• Design and develop Salesforce-based applications using a combination of configuration, standard objects, and custom objects using Visualforce/Force.com IDE.
• Integrate with third-party Salesforce-capable (AppExchange) applications such as DocuSign and Drawloop.
• Integrate Salesforce with legacy applications and relational database systems.
• Serve as a mentor to the rest of the development team, guiding them in the proper use and idioms of Salesforce development.
• Work with Scrum team to facilitate an understanding of requirements, deliverables, timing estimates, and prioritization decisionsPerform routine maintenance and bug fixes to existing business applications.
• Adhere to industry best practices, participate in code and design reviews, and advise on process improvement opportunities.
• Work business stakeholders and Product Owners to understand business requirement or defects and recommend solutions options.
• Work with senior development staff to communicate technical solutions, integration decisions, and functional designs to Product Owner and team.
• Develop, maintain, and execute unit tests to ensure requirements are met and coding standards and guidelines are followed.
• Produce technical and design specifications.

 

DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related area; Master's degree a strong plus.
• 5+ years of development /Design and develop Salesforce with OO programming languages, preferably in Microsoft-based technology stack.
• Significant experience with these languages and technologies: C#, ASP.NET, HTML/CSS, and JavaScript. PHP experience a plus.
• Working knowledge of the following technologies: ASP.NET MVC, Entity Framework, JQuery, Kendo UI, Knockout JS.
• Database design and development experience with Microsoft SQL Server. PostgreSQL a plus.
• Experience with various SDLC methodologies, Agile, Scrum, Kanban, XP, Waterfall,etc.
• Experience with Salesforce.com configuration and/or custom development in APEX, a strong plus.
• Experience with healthcare, insurance, or financial data systems is a plus.
