Position: Systems Administrator (SAP Basis) - 48321
Location: Mounds View, MN
Duration: 12+ Months
Working Hours:
This position is for weekend shift and requires working on Friday to Sunday (12 hours *3 days) (9 AM CDT to 9 PM) or Friday to Monday (10 hours *4 days) (10 AM CDT to 9 PM) during day shift.
Work Location: This person will work from Medtronic Mounds View location and Medtronic Datacenter at Woodbury.
Specialized Knowledge Required:
· 5+ years working in role of a SAP Basis Administrator having demonstrated experience supporting production operations and maintenance of both SAP NetWeaver ABAP and JAVA systems
· Knowledge of working on SAP ECC, BW, APO, CRM, Portal etc
Position Responsibilities:
· The primary responsibility of this role will be to work as hands-on administrator to maintain/support a global SAP environment including troubleshooting problems, escalating open issues, implementing solutions, monitoring of systems, prevention of outages, and optimize the system for maximum performance
· Troubleshoot and resolve complex problems and risks to the environment. This may include working cross functionally with other technology teams, geographies and disciplines.
· Responsible for developing and maintaining the technical details for SOPs (refresh, migrations, configuration, installs, etc.) and ensure are followed to maintain a viable system
· Plan and participate into quarterly releases / infrastructure outages. Execute tasks per plan.
· Provide technical expertise and direction to drive effective operations related to support activities.
· Serve as liaison to vendor support/technical staff to escalate, analyze, and resolve issues.
· Work with other related technology teams displaying insight and knowledge to understand and influence technical direction and strategy.
· Able to work independently as well as cooperatively
· Experience administering SAP systems running on IBM AIX / DB2
Job Duties:
Lead and participates in the administration, analysis, design, evaluation, programming, testing and support of complex information systems with a focus on an Enterprise Search System., Performs at the highest technical\functional level in all phases of systems administration, analysis, and development activities., Provides technical leadership and solutions for the review and implementation of the Enterprise Search System and connected applications., Creates appropriate documentation in support of Medtronic requirements for validated systems.
