Re: Wake-keeping for Late Moses Assam -- Count down!

Thank you Dr. Peter Ako, Mr Kuji Mundi, Mr. Ruben Eyong, and President David Gedeon for your thoughtful and understanding hearts to our Cameroonian community at large. It's wonderful to see you all helping as you have always done, to step in and support when our community needs your assistance. You guys talk the talk, and walk the walk. Do to others as you would like to be treated. Yes!!
 Thanks a million.
GRACIAS.
May our good Lord multiply and reward you for your generous and non-discriminating mind.
Mrs. Betty Elad.

Subject:Re: Wake-keeping for Late Moses Assam -- Count down!

Manyu People in USA, Cameroonians at large, Beloved Community!

My name is David Gedeon Mpoupe Singui, one of the Cameroonian leaders in Los Angeles.

Our brother Moses Assam was snatched by the hand of death at a prime time of his short life, leaving behind a very young wife and two little children. Giving the length of time (3 months) he lived in America, his death is more shocking that any other.

The attitudes that we should have should be that of a compassion for his sudden departure, of accommodation for his surviving family and that of a urge of financial contribution to avoid the shame and embarrassment vis a vis of other tribes and communities that are aware of this story; to also send a message of comfort to Theresa, his wife who should be assured that she will not apply for shelters when surrounded by brothers and Sisters from the same region and country after such a deep lost.

A reluctance of any giving attitude from any of us is a wrong perception of death. No one knows tomorrow, no matter how prepared you might be. So please go and contribute as soon as tonight to help us have the corps released by the funeral home; Yes the corps. might be restrained from viewing if the family does NOT pay on time, and Brothers and Sisters that time is tomorrow noon.

PLEASE MAKE YOUR SECURED DONATIONS WITH THE BELOW LINKS.

My dear brothers and sisters,

Thank you all for the wonderful expression of empathy and support/assistance towards our recent fund drive to enable the remains of late Moses Akim Assam to be sent home to rest amongst his ancestors. Your response to our plea has been very positive, to say the least. We pray the Almighty God to reward you all abundantly. Amen.

As you already know, the Wake-keeping is in two days -- May 9th, 2015, at the African Book Club , 3710 Martin Luther King Blvd, Ste 100; Los Angeles, Ca 90008. The event is scheduled to begin at 8 PM. We need you help. Nothing is to small in the face of this very challenging situation. As usual we appeal to our ever kind-hearted and beloved sisters/women to come with food, while our always ready men bring drinks.
Thank you, once more, for all this wonderful show of support. See you all on Saturday.
