Position: . .Net Developer and Architect (Only Green Card and Citizen Required)

Location : Philadelphia, PA

Duration: 12+ months

Job Description:

·         Collaborate with architects, developers and business stakeholders to design and enhance large scale, customer-facing web applications developed on the existing eBusiness platform framework, which is built on the Microsoft technology stack (ASP.NET/C#/MVC, SQL Server) with Sitecore CMS.

·         Collaborate with the architects to design and implement a framework that allows for the development of a shared library of user interface (UI) components that may be used on multiple pages on applications built on the platform. Develop / update web services, MVC controllers and associated libraries / classes and data sources.

·         Fully adopt the agile mythology – actively participate in all ceremonies, review user stories, participate in planning sessions, estimate effort for stories / tasks, etc. Work in conjunction with all members of the team (solution architect, solution designers, front-end developers / architects) to complete assigned tasks.

·         Analyze and optimize the performance of back-end service calls and browser requests for HTML.

Skill set:

·         ASP.NET (C#), WCF

·         MVC (ASP.NET 3.0 or later) with Razor

·         SQL Server

·         AJAX, JSON

·         HTML 5, CSS 3 (Responsive), JavaScript / JQuery

 

Required Skills and Experience

 

·         4+ years working with the full Microsoft technology stack (SQL Server, C#, WCF, ASP.NET) and associated IDE / tools (Visual Studio, TFS).

·         4+ years building high-traffic, public-facing ASP.NET web applications for desktop and mobile devices.

·         3+ years architecting / building with ASP.NET MVC 3.0 (or later) and Razor.

·         3+ years building web services and integrating web pages / components and back-end services with Sitecore.

·         Fully understand and consistently apply standards & best practices for all layers of ASP.NET web applications (client-side, application, and back-end service / data stores).

·         Proficient use of Visual Studio / Team Foundation Server (TFS).

·         Working knowledge of JavaScript UI technologies - JQuery, AJAX and JSON (including the consumption of back-end / web service technologies – REST, XML). Knowledge of front-end libraries and frameworks.

·         Understanding of browser rendering and cross-browser support. Experience working on a team in a large development group.
