Job Description:
Client is hiring all levels of Systems Specialist. As the Systems Specialist working as an Environments Management Resource, candidate will participate in development and implementation of small to mid-sized scaled application systems in an Agile environment. Candidate will work closely with designers/analysts and systems teams to implement new applications in an enterprise environment. Additionally, candidate will attend meetings to understand desired results, coding, unit and/or system testing, and document the changes following client's Agile framework. Furthermore candidate will summarize issues and communicate system capabilities or limitations to the teams candidate support; as well as monitor system capacity and/or performance issues and report the status to management and teams impacted.
This position will require candidate to troubleshoot and correct issues in urgent situations.
Responsibilities:
Support development teams in agile sprints.
Support development teams on application errors within the IHS and WebSphere realms.
Design and implement new functionality within the IHS and WebSphere realms.
Build and maintain technical relationships with cross teams.
Effectively communicate technical proposals to team members and management.
Frequent technologies used in this role would be: Apache, IHS, WebSphere, Shell Scripting, automation of application and server provisioning and application deployments.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Sciences.
Scripting experience or JAVA / programming experience.
Experience in Application Support.
Experience in WebSphere management.
Experience in IBM HTTP Server management.
Unix or Linux experience.
Experience working in a middleware environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Basic qualifications plus:
Master's Degree in Computer Sciences.
Competency with Agile Methodology.
WebSphere Certification.
