Re: [MTC Global] Introduction of Certain Trades at 7th Grade in Schools.

No one I quote two real-life instances:
  1. One of the IITs has a four stories library building. At 6 pm,  a gent-student went to the top floor, picked up one typewriter, and using a rope sent it to the ground floor where a lady student untied the rope. Unfortunately, the sentry located the move and caught them.
  2. There were many students who picked up certain books in library and place it in some other rack where they can locate it easily depriving many others. Some students used to tear off pages from books/journals.
There are three ways to treat such students:
  1. Do not care. Let it happen.
  2. Honour them.
  3. Punish them.
Education is for value building. The controlling officer has to take an appropriate action using his/her reason. No one way can be considered as a rule and one approach may not fit all the time. If the number of thefts had reduced after such an action, it speaks about the institute culture. Some ways prescribed in our tradition are
  • Sam  (compromise)
  • Dam (make payment)
  • Danda (Punishment)
  • Bheda (Divide and rule)
These are the time prov-en tools. Their effective deployment depends on the discrimination skill and attitude of the decision maker.

Regards.
