Job Title : Infrastructure Project Manager
Location : Landsdale PA
Start Date : 8/3
Duration : 2 Month contract
Job description:
Hours: 8:30AM-5:30PM Monday-Friday
Job Description: Remote, but there could a possibility of one trip as they are new to the project and meeting purposes. SOW and project plan available. Just need someone to execute and can forward the project plan and SOW to interested candidates.
- Start date Monday, +/- 8/3 and projected end date is 9/7, estimated LOE is 200 hours as the need is full time
- The week of 8/3 is a knowledge transfer session with the existing PM
- We have started the project and PM is transitioning off thus the immediate need.
- Solid in DataCenter and Networking
- There may be travel required but to be confirmed.
High level overview:
- Datacenter Refresh
- Work Closely to meet the following Services objectives per Data Center location:
- Unified Fabric
- Review, plan, design, and deploy data center Unified Fabric infrastructure (Cisco Nexus)
- Unified Computing
- Review, plan, design, and deploy unified computing infrastructure (Cisco UCS)
- VMware Server Virtualization
- Review, plan, design, and deploy server virtualization environment (VMware)
- Storage
- Review, plan, design, and deploy storage controllers and associated disks (EMC VNX)
- Back-Up and Recovery
- Review, plan, design, and deploy back-up and recovery solution (Veeam) WAN/Security Redesign Network Standardization/Optimization
Routing - Review, plan, design, and deploy the removal of the OSPF routing protocol from firewalls and configuration on other Layer 3 devices to optimize the routing design
WAN Routers
- Review, plan, design, and deploy 4 ASR routers for connectivity to the new Data Center location
QoS - Review, plan, design, and deploy end-to-end QoS configuration templates to prioritize critical traffic from datacenters to remote sites Security Standardization/Optimization Security Devices (Firewalls & IPSs) Placement/Hop Efficiency
- Review and recommend firewall and IPS placements within data flow paths between data centers and edges to optimize traffic flow performance and inspection points Firewall Configuration and Rules Analysis/Optimization (VLAN999)
- Review and recommend firewall configurations to help consolidate and reduce complexity
- Review other services running on firewalls that could be migrated to other devices
Data Center Migration
- Migration Planning
- Review and plan migration solution between to new infrastructure
- Support in the migration of virtual workloads and storage data, specifically:
- Existing NHC2 and NHC3 infrastructure
- Existing VMware virtualized infrastructure
- Newly installed NHC infrastructure (EMC VNX, Veeam, Cisco UCS and Nexus)
Qualifications:
- Must pass a criminal and drug background check before starting
- 5 years experience working in the IT Field
- Solid background working as a PM on Network related projects
- Solid Datacenter background
- Must have hands on experience with WAN/Network Technologies
- Not afraid of new challenges
- Must have excellent communication and customer services skills.
