Re: COLONEL EYONG TAMBONG EBOT REPORTEDLY COMMITS SUICIDE IN BAMENDA

Pa Arreymbi
It is very sad indeed. We can only speculate on his motive and cannot draw an accurate psychological profile of a man we have not met for over 35 years yet, our collective hunch is pointing to an inside hit job. Colonels are not servile lackeys to be killed by just anybody; if anything, they are as tough as nails. It takes a man from within to make such an accurate hit.
Psychologists and psychiatrists will tell you that a man does not just get up in the morning and commits suicide. There must be suicide ideation and all the signs before the actual act. If those around him or his family did not see these signs, then who did? The mafia is known for forcing its victims to write suicide notes so a suicide note is not a conclusive pointer to suicide. Ordinary citizens with expertise in these matters could help with this investigation.

Prince, with my brother presently in the morgue in Boston, and now, this very bright student of mine dead under suspicious circumstances, the earth around me seems to be carving inwards. I am chocking with grief. I wish I were in Bda right now. Something would have been happening down there already. For a people with very limited number in positions of authority in the CPDM administration, this type of loss is just unacceptable to say the least. Very sad.

If this death was the result of a hit by the government for one reason or another then the investigation will be a ruse and the end result will be suicide. I can guarantee that.
My suspicion is that there could have been a gun fight if it wasn't an inside job. It is a real loss to the whole Manyu

No doubt there is foul play somewhere somehow. I don't see any reason why the Col will take his life no matter what.

That is a laudable cry. But how attainable is it when even families are more polarized and balkanized these days more than ever before? The death of our Colonel pains me right to my bones. What we all can do is put pressure in whatever form for his death to be thoroughly investigated. I will truly like to see that done.

I do share your sentiments as MIS-APPROPRIATTION AND SUICIDE ARE ABSOLUTELY NOT THE BANYANGI way!!!

A BANYANGI MAN CANNOT BE A COWARD, HE WOULD PREFER DYING 2000 TIMES IN THE FIELD THAN KILLING HIMSELF!!!

I CAN ACCEPT YOUR CLAIM OF HIM BEING AT LOGGERHEADS WITH HIS IMMEDIATE BOSS ABOUT CORRUPTION etc BECAUSE BANYANGI PEOPLE ARE NOT TEAM PLAYERS WHEN IT COMES TO CORRUPTION. BANYANGI'S WOULD EASILY BE AT LOGGER HEADS WITH ANYBODY THAN BE CORRUPT!!! THIS IS OUR NATURE AND H.E. EGBE TABI symbolised it well when he refused to accept 240million Frs kickback and instead directed the payment to the Republic of Cameroon than anything to himself. S.A. GEORGE IN HIS DEATH BED WAS MORE WORRIED ABOUT CAMEROON THAN HIS OWN LIFE.

Unfortunately if this is an inside job, then it is likely to be investigated by the same people who structured it in the first case.

Given your comments below, then THIS CALLS FOR THE NEED FOR STRENGTHENING BANYANGI MEETINGS WITH GOOD PROMOTION OF KENYANG ACROSS ALL PARTS OF BANYANG NATION FROM WIDIKUM, EKOK, KEMBONG,NGUTI, MANYEMEN to Talangaye, SO THAT OUR PEOPLE CAN BE UNITED IN STRENGTH, SUPPORTED WITH OUR ABUNDANT NATURAL AND NATIVE TOOLS WHICH WE HAVE A LOT!!

THIS IS TERRIBLE

We should all be very careful, at this point in time, to jump to the conclusion that this eminent soldier of Banyang extraction would go out of his way to kill himself. His brilliant biography and resume make me think otherwise.

His death should be thoroughly investigated. There have been rumors, rife in the air, of him being at loggerheads with his immediate boss over the disbursement of huge funds entrusted in his care for the construction of military infrastructure in the North West. He had resisted attempts to play dirty with those allocations and his immediate bosses have not been happy with him. Who knows whether, on that fateful morning, someone didn't way lay him in his office,  shoot him and fake suicide? Remember,  that is Caneroon. No sir, the Colonel's profile doesn't convince me, he can be suicidal. Not all!!!

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Another Regretfully another tragic news which some people may call cowardly because at this time of insecurity with our nation's security under threat, we need the expertise this gentleman posses and trained for over many years.

To me as a Banyangi native, this is sad and a pulsating embarrassment as I would have preferred dying in the field of battle defending my nation, at this very important time.

Further details can be read on:  http://www.cameroononline.org/drame-dans-larmee-un-colonel-se-tire-une-balle-dans-la-tete/ and a pdf of the article in attached below.

I CALL ON ALL BANYANGI MILITARY EXECUTIVES TO BECOME CLOSER TO THE COMMUNITY SO THAT MORAL SUPORT CAN BE OFFERED WHEN THERE ARE CASES OF ISOLATION AND OR DEPRESSION WHICH CAN RESULT IN SELF-HARM.

UNITY IS STRENGTH AND PLEASE SUPPORT EACH OTHER.

THE BIG GUY APPOINTED BY PRESIDENTIAL DECREE ABC123WSS or whatever, ALSO HAS PROBLEMS.

May his soul rest in peace, during this very difficult period for us Banyangi people.

PLEASE PRAY FOR ALL CAMEROONIAN ARMIES FIGHTING CRIMINALS TO KEEP OUR NATION SECURE
