Title: Sr. SQL ETL Developer

Location: San Diego, CA

Position Type: Contract

Contract Duration: 6-12 Months (potential to go longer, up to 18 months)

Description:

The Sr. SQL ETL Developer is needed to program SQL Server 2012 to create SSIS packages to load raw data from GreenPlum to a SQL Server Database. The candidate will create stored procedures to cleanse and transform data into an existing relational data model.

Primary Responsibilities:

·         Responsible for data modeling and design, ETL development and processing, performance tuning, and administration for a Business Intelligence environment.

·         Responsible for end to end design, coding, testing, review and implementation of data interfaces into an existing data warehouse.

·         Additional responsibilities include troubleshooting, maintenance, and optimization or enhancement of existing processes and code management.

• Performance Optimization / Performance Tuning / SQL Profiler

• Indexes / Keys / Foreign Keys / Unique Keys / Clustered Keys

• Relational Database

• Data Warehousing / Date Warehouse Design

• 3rd Normal Form / Third Normal Form / 3NF

• Star Schema / Snowflake Schema

• Type II Dimension / Type 2 Dimension / SCD / Slowly Changing Dimensions

• OLTP / OLAP / Cubes

• Oracle 9i / Oracle 10g / Oracle

• SSMS / SQL Server Management Studio

TESTING

• Prepares test plans, documents test cases, reviews results of tests, and identifies further testing required.

• Exhibits an expert knowledge of testing techniques and the scope needed in a test plan.

IMPLEMENTATION

• Assists in technical implementation.

Desired Qualifications:

·         Bank or similar financial experience a plus.
