My recent ME(Manufacturing) projects:
- Shakti Group of Industries, Nashik, developed an approach for purchase of capital equipment. Out of 21 quotations for CNC Turner one was selected using the approach of DEA (LP), GA, etc. Implemented by industry.
- Grompton Greaves (I), Aurangabad, Line Balancing of Engine Assembly, just completed, saving 3.5 crore pa, reduced cycle time, improved target from 250 to 297 per shift, number of work stations reduced.
- On going projects: (1) Improving Gusset Plate assembly productivity, and (2) 5S in a small unit in Aurangabad.

Subject: [MTC Global] Higher Education from Transactional to Transformational
I do not find many colleges truly involve in the community development and contribute to local economy. There is a need to change the academic leadership style wherein academia and local industry can work hand in hand for the mutual benefits.
It would be great if MTCians can share their experience wherein they tied up with some local industry [SME], worked together and also the outcome of such initiative.
