RIP Dr Ngumne. "We now undertake that we cannot rest while millions of our people suffer the pains and indignity of poverty in all its forms." In these fine words of Mandela, we Pay Tribute to a man who spent the best part of his life fighting for the liberation of a people he did not live with and a country he desired to see as a sovereign state but died without setting eyes on his dream. He died in the course of the fight in communal and lonely battles whose only weapons were pens and ideas expressed in law suits, memorandums, letters and declaration and meetings. We regret the loss but may he by dying point the way to a novel approach that will lead to the realization of his dream. This to me may mark the end of the force of argument not the argument of force because he et al on behalf of other Southern Cameroonians won the landmark case at Banjul which asked for dialogue as a way to resolve the dampening relations between la republique du cameroun and Southern Cameroons. This was a soft approach which was disregarded by the colonizing and oppressive regime of la republique. Furthermore, in collaboration with his peers, Dr Ngumne laid a great foundation for the great war of liberation. Thus, Southern Cameroons aka Ambazonia MUST be FREE at all cost. I invite all youths to join in the struggle to liberate the masses and set the captive free. The wish of the oppressor is that elderly patriots like Dr Ngumne should pass on so that the fight will die but unfortunately for them, for each fallen hero, a thousand are born and the spirit transmigrates into other souls and convert many more. Hence the struggle gains momentum from each demise and makes us have confidence that though there may be tears at the moment there is hope at the end of the tunnel. Adieu Compatriot.RIP.
