Re: Thank You Team Panafest 2015

WOW! Ms. Justine, you truly left NO stone unturned.  And how do we thank you, a mighty, true, selfless, committed leader and exceptional manager, without whom, I am not sure how we could have truly stayed on task at every turn.  You are such a blessing in our lives!  May God truly bless you and reward you for giving of your time, talent and treasure as you did.  Yes, we all did our parts, but you are the glue that brought the parts together and made it whole.  Of course, I give God ALL the Glory.  God Bless You!!!  And of course, may God bless everyone that contributed to making this wonderful event so successful!!

Congratulations Team Panafest 2015 for a job well done.!!!!!

First of all We thank the Almighty for holding the rain and making it possible for Panafest 2015 to successfully hold outdoors. It was a beautiful day with soft winds and mild weather. As usual the vendors started arriving at 6:45 a.m., and setup began.  Oh what a day it turned out to be.

A big Thank You to Montgomery County Executive Ike Leggett for instituting the African Heritage Month, without which there will be no Panafest. Much love to all the members of the Montgomery County African Affairs Advisory Group (AAAG) for making sure the African interest is well represented in the county.

We are very grateful to all our vendors and sponsors including Montgomery County Office of Community Partnerships, Funds for Montgomery, Delta Airlines and Western Union for making Panafest 2015 possible..

My sincere Gratitude to all the Organizing Committee members for their selfless commitment to this project. I know too well what it takes to put one of these events together. The monthly then weekly meetings, late night teleconferences, time away from your families and loved ones, time away from your jobs, recreational activities, you name it. Thank you all very much for your selflessness.

Ms. Ogechi, the face of Panafest, once again, you made us proud. You single handedly designed, choreographed and produced the Panafest 2015 Promo video. What will we do without you.  Thank you very much.

The Beautiful and talented Ms. Adele Clarice...what a voice!!!! The National Anthem rang through the cars, the trees, the buildings, in short the entire downtown area. You are simply the best!!! Thanks for always being there for our community.

To our foot soldiers, Mr. Ras Edwards, Mama Alvina Edwards, Amisa Asima, Manfred Ayuk and Mr. Jackson a big THANK YOU for all the community outreach.  Due to all your hard work, the African Union, Several Ambassadors, Performers, including the Bufallo Soldiers and a large number of vendors were a great part of this year's celebration. Ms. Asima, thanks for the electrifying performance. We were truly honored to have the Buffalo Soldiers with us this year and gracefully accept their award.

What a lucky group we are.....we asked for designers to lead the fashion show and God did not only provide one, but three of them.  A big shout out to our Fashion designers Princess Romy Siewe, Elve ManiThokea and Troy Massa. Thanks Princess for putting together our first children's Fashion show. A task that required the patience of Mother Theresa. Troy and Elve, we truly appreciate your effort in gathering a great team of designers whose products were showcased during the adult Fashion show.

Mr. Salewa, what can I say...You handled your task with the seriousness of a cardiac arrest.  You kept an eye on the MCs and made sure they were protected at all times. You kept watch over the "stage" area and monitored every movement with keen observation. No one got on stage without your approval. And how can I forget our brother and your assistant Mr. Suki for providing enforcement. Thank you both very much for taking your job so seriously.

We appreciate our Protocol Officers, Mr. Honore Tchoumte, Christine Bikoi and Bonaventure Chengeck for maintaining order and ensuring that our guests were accommodated.

Our powerful Production team, manager Mr. Richard Muma and lovely Video and Photographer Celebrity DJ Selmo, thanks for ensuring that our guests had a great time and for capturing the event in real time.

It is often said that behind every successful man is a strong women...I will like to thank Mrs. Anyi Tazi, Mama Alvina Edwards and Mrs. Erica Muma for being the wind beneath their husbands wings (Mr. Richard Muma, Mr. Ras Edwards and Mbe Philip Tazi, respectively). Thanks again Ms. Erica for the sumptuous meal.

How can I forget our Masters of Ceremony - MCs extraordinaire, the CEO and Founder of Miss Cameroon USA and Miss Africa USA, the one and only Lady Kate Ndi, The handsome TV personality and Anchor of the SACO TV program, Mr. Gils Ingles and the Great Community Fundraiser and MC of all MCs, Sir Gwei Folon. Your are a great team!!!

Nothing can be accomplished without the guidance of our advisers. the  Montgomery County African and Caribbean Liaison, Mr. Daniel Koroma; our Darling Auntie Soffie; our Brother Reverend Kennedy, the Silent Doctor Moki and the one and only Mishe Fon.

To the Flag Bearers of this great Panafest Team, the Chair of AAAG Ms. Fatmata Barrie, Esq., the Executive Director of Southern African Community USA, Ms. Omega Tewonezvi, the Executive Director of the ACCDF Mr. Richard Mbakop and the Former ED of the ACCDF, Mr. Jean Claude Mukong, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU. In short without you, there would be no Panafest. Much love for all  you do for this great organization.

And to those who give meaningful blend to our cultural heritage, our traditional icons and personal mentors; Sessekou Shey Christmas Ebini, Chief Ayuk Parker and Mbe Philip Tazi, you have been there for us through thick and thin. I am forever indebted to you all for the unflinching support. May the Good Lord continue to shower blessings upon you as you do unto others.

I love you all!!!!!!
