• 12 + month contract
• Will hire from phone interview and Skype
• Sacramento or Oakland Ca.
• Does not want a network security engineer but an all-around security engineer (cyber, compliance)

 

. 
 
Responsibilities:

• Maintain and secure enterprise systems
• Perform risk assessments and help develop security policies and procedures
• Troubleshoot issues with security infrastructure systems
• Manage and maintain security infrastructure components such as SIEMs, Vulnerability scanners, Patch Management systems, Web Content Filters, IPS, Etc.

 
Requirements: 

• 5 + years of experience in IT Security
• Experience with Penetration Testing and Audits
• Experience securing and auditing Windows and Linux systems
• Knowledge of database security (preferable MS SQL)
• Familiarity with Security Standards (FISMA, NIST, STIG, HIPPA, PCI, etc.)
• Understanding of current regulatory environment and related implications to security/audit compliance

 
Nice to have:

• CISSP
