CAMEROONIAZTION OF RGIONAL NAMES-BILL TO PARLIAMENT

Folks,

Thanks for all your rejoinders on this important subject on Cameroon's Identity..

I hope a Bill should be submitted to "Glass House" Parliament in Yaounde as well as the Senate on this subject for ti to be promulgated into law.

When I thought about this idea I was looking at some geographical, cultural  or natural features in the region

I just felt that we needed to create a Cameroonian identity for the country to be easily identified abroad.

*** I agree with the "Bamenda" name for the Northwest Region because everyone from the northwest identifies he or herself with "Bamenda". 

*** Earlier I thougth about the "Famla" name for the Western Region" but some people felt that it was derogatory because of the witchcraft impression. Meanwhile from my own understanding "Famla" is just an abandoned homestead or compound

*** "Benoue" is better for the North Region because this is one of its greatest natural features. I visited the "Poumpoumre" quarters in the 1980's and was amaze with the luxurious home in the area.
