Job Description

 

This position calls for a web developer with a background in PHP, MySQL, HTML, JavaScript, and jQuery. We will also consider candidates possessing experience in other web development languages (Java, ASP, JSP, etc.) who demonstrate a working knowledge of PHP.  Additionally, the qualified candidate will have strong analytical and problem solving ability.

Our team develops web applications for a large government entity that provide comprehensive, paperless management of many physical security business processes. Through regular interaction with the customer, we help streamline these business processes, gather requirements for the applications, and propose technological solutions. We regularly investigate new technologies and hardware and make recommendations throughout the development process.

This job provides the opportunity to work in a fast-changing, innovative field while gaining knowledge of leading-edge technologies and the latest federal standards (e.g. HSPD-12, FIPS-201).

Key Responsibilities: 

< >On-site design and  development of web applications in PHP/MySQLIntegration and support of web applications and associated hardwareAnalyze customer needs and provide software solutions as part of a teamAnalyze, test, and resolve issues with application software and associated peripheralsDevelop web services in a variety of languages (ASP, C#, PHP) which will interface with third party APIsAnalyze and adapt existing software to meet customer needsAssist the customer in the development of business processes and policies

Basic Qualifications

·  7+ years of experience working with a combination of PHP, MySQL, and one or more of the following development languages:  C, C#, VB, .NET, and/or Java

·  3 years of experience working with  HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, and CSS

Preferred Skills/Experience

·  Experience developing in an MVC framework

·  Experience configuring and maintaining virtual servers

·  Experience configuring IIS web servers

·  Experience working with XML and web services

·  Experience working with PIV cards in conjunction with web applications

·  Experience using version control systems for code integrity

·  Experience with developing as part of a team

Professional Skills

·  Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills

·  Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision making capabilities

·  Excellent customer service skills

·  Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
