Position: SCADA resource

Location: Houston, TX

Duration: 6 Months

Role description:

• Configuration, designing, and maintenance of the CygNet SCADA System.

• Work with the DBAs, Migration, and Infrastructure Teams to maintain the current system architecture and stability

• SCADA graphics and database development

• Upgrades of CygNet system and testing activities

Requirements:

• Exposure to designing, implementing and supporting solutions in the Oil & Gas industry with emphasis on SCADA (preferably Cygnet).

• Familiarity with SQL Server databases, Oracle databases, ODBC client principles, and the ability to write, analyze and maintain complex SQL queries and Oracle Procedures/Triggers.

• Strong knowledge and experience of software deployment (design, development, configuration, testing, upgrade, etc).

8 years experience  having SCADA related experience especially in Oil & Gas domain

1. Transitioning automation data into Ge proficy- automation data from cygnet, Wonderware, third parties typically in formatted files. Job would require experience in pulling data using odbc collectors, odbc interface leveraging SOA based environment. Two- main sources are Wonderware and cygnet besides few other third party systems.  

2. Databases in scope: production data base- oracle, emulate- map based unique identifier for maps, sap, quick meters, internal systems;  transition to GE proficy
