Job description

One of the top TV Networks in the world, has an immediate open position for a FULL STACK PHP or node.js developer who is capable of doing development on both the front end & back end of JavaScript or with PHP.  The group is very flexible, & has 3 open roles, so whether your expertise lies in node.JS or PHP, they will have fun & interesting work for you.  The project is slated for 3-4 years & is an immediate need.  You will be working in a group of developers who love to share knowledge, train others, & have a great team mentality.  You will be working alongside a great group of iOS, Android, & Angular Developers & working on, among other things, the flagship application that will allow customers to watch the channel from their mobile devices, PC's, Macs, etc..This will be something that literally tens of millions of people will use & a unique opportunity to have your input into such a large scale app.  

Description: 

• Responsible for developing front end (browser) and server side code to build highly scalable, interactive web sites using PHP or node.js,
• Will also be working in JavaScript, mongodb, ,HTML5, CSS3.
• Serve as the technology lead for front-end development initiatives for our sites.
• Managing web development lifecycle including design, development, testing, and deployment.
• Building web sites responsive web design that can be leveraged across multiple devices including tablets and phones.
• Ensure that solutions are architected and implemented to scale.
• Write logic in the appropriate programming language to meet the functional requirements.

Desired Skills and Experience

Required Experience 

• Full Stack PHP or JavaScript Development (with an emphasis on node.js) 
• Experience with configuring / troubleshooting Web servers (Nginx / Apache / Varnish)
• Experience with No-SQL database like mongodb
