Out of the many ideas, only a single idea becomes the root for building a business. It is
said that out of 100 people entering to do business, only 5 survive the first year, and
only one or two go on beyond the three year span to become successful. Many entrepreneurs
are full of ideas and try one after the other in the hope that one of these succeeds.
There is also the fact that an idea may take root in a soil that is fertile for it. The
case of Infosys is one such. The company struggled for the first ten years to grow. Only
when the environment turned favorable ( cheap and easily available software talent in
India as compared to the US and who could adapt easily to the demand for low level
programming jobs in the US) that Infosys turned the corner and began to make profit.
It is said that nothing can stop an idea whose time has come.

>No point having an idea and not executing it. I have a lot no. of
market tested ideas, but the execution of that not happening makes me
teach entrepreneurship and mentor startups but am afraid to take a
plunge hence a failure yet, an honest submission- Rgrds, Dr. Subrata
