JOB DESCRIPTION:
Looking for a Software Engineer developing web based applications in financial domain. The position involves design, development and maintenance of 529 web application in existing MVC framework. The ideal candidate must have Java, J2EE, Oracle, Struts, XML, JBoss, Apache, AJAX, HTML, Javascript, CSS and other web technology skills. The candidate must have proven communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment. This is a key position within the Ascensus College Savings technology organization. Web Services and SOAP experience is also highly desired.
Responsibilities:
· Design and Develop new modules in 529 application
· Perform regular maintenance on the existing application
· Work with business analysis team to understand the requirement
· Work on existing framework on Java/J2EE, Oracle, Struts, JBoss, Apache, XML, HTML, Javascript, CSS and other web technologies
· Work with QA to fix any bugs in the system
· Proactively monitor and fix any exceptions in the current platform
Minimum Requirements
· Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering
· 5+ years of experience in web development
· Working experience on Java/J2EE, Oracle, Struts, JBoss, Apache, XML, HTML, Javascript, CSS, JQuery and other web based technologies
· Financial Services experience is preferred
· Experience with Unix or Linux environment is preferred
