Dear Sir, The problem with the MBA will go away when the MBA course is delinked from
placements. It is then that students genuinely wanting to study business management will
go to B-schools. The second step is that a basic level of employabiliity training must be
provided at the high school and college level ( encompassing the 2+3 years in college
irrespective of the stream as of now). I also feel that the present 2 + 3 system must be
made 2+ 4 years. The last year could cover the first year of the present day MBA course.
The MBA program could also be brought down from 2 years to 1 year.
It must be recognized that rudimentary business education is not a luxury but a necessity
as this could prepare a student for entrepreneurship or at least for self employment
