Re: [MTC Global] JNU tops the NAAC

No assessment is ever perfect and only will reflect what the assessment  sets out to measure . If the NAAC assessment is 'not fit for purpose' is it then not. Case of looking for establishing something which is more relevant and appropriate ?

Though the first part is true to some extent (due to inherent limitations of evaluation procedure), assessment is object oriented, NAAC assessment goes for academic evaluation of an institute. Hence to say "not fit for purpose" is not appropriate. NAAC is for quality measurement of education and quality stands for  "Fitness for Purpose/Use". NAAC and NBA are the world accepted institutions.

However  one wonders why all institutions proudly announce their NAAc grades in all their public literature  ( if indeed it is not a worthy assessment )!! Perhaps we should all reflect !

Since NAAC speaks about the academic performance/credibility of an institute, institutes  proudly declare their NAAC scores in all their literature for public knowledge. Nothing wrong.

There is not a single academic assessment method in vogue all over the world that takes care of/reflect patriotism/nationality/values. It is beyond the reach of the existing academic assessments and to me it is not essential as such.

Regards.
