Data Architect/Data Modeler

McLean, Virginia, with offices and delivery locations worldwide in North and South America, Europe, and the Asia Pacific region. Responsibilities: • Develop all conceptual data models for the Enterprise ODS and datamarts • Develop logical and physical data model for Enterprise ODS and data marts • Work with BA to complete source to target mapping specification documents for the ETL development team • Use data modeling tool to build attribute level data dictionary content that will ultimately reside in the BDG • Work with the ETL development team to better understand the target data models and the necessary data transformation that must exist Qualifications/Requirements: • Must possess the ability to understand data needs and design logical and physical data models to reflect those needs • Relevant experience with Enterprise ODS and data marts • Must have 5-8 years of experience of delivering scalable data model designs • Knowledge of Master Data Management concepts • Experience with LARGE data bases/data sets • Thorough understanding of at least one of the standard industry data modeling tools • Excellent MS SQL skills with the ability to validate data model functionality and performance using SQL • Database performance tuning, optimization and maintenance • Ability to guide the team on ETL process ** Prefer candidates with financial industry experience.
