POSITION: Sr. Web Developer (AEM).

INTERVIEW: Phone/Skype.

LOCATION: Minneapolis, MN.

DURATION: 3 months.

The ideal AEM Sr. Developer will have prior experience with Adobe Experience Manager and will feel comfortable developing new functionalities, as well as managing existing ones within the CMS. Adobe Experience Manager Version 5.6.1/6.0/6.1 is preferred. The AEM Sr. Developer is responsible for design and development of web applications using the AEM platform, including, but not limited to, designing and developing site structure, custom components, custom workflows, object model designs (Java APIs), implementation strategy, and unit testing. The successful candidate must be self-motivated and have an assertive yet professional demeanor, a high technical aptitude, be detail oriented, and possess strong multitasking skills. 

Responsibilities

  • Build websites and applications using Adobe Experience Manager.
  • Design and build components, templates, dialogs, and workflows using the AEM architecture (Sling, CRX, OSGI, JCR).
  • Diagnose and solve technical problems related to content management such as search result accuracy, dynamic content linking, formatting, image scaling, internationalization, and personalization.
  • Work in an agile, rapid development and prototyping environment.
  • Translate business requirements into AEM specific implementation specifications.
  • Design and improve internal development methodologies.
  • Supports application deployment configuration needs, deploying code/content, conducts troubleshooting and performance tuning into the CQ environment.
  • Provide technical expertise and ownership of technical solutions.
  • Provide thought-leadership to team members and vendors across the business and technical project dimensions, solving complex business requirements.
  • Participate and contribute as a lead technical programming resource in both the development and maintenance of Capella's business information systems.
  • Responsibilities include not only contributions as an individual contributor, but also as a leader for the analysis, design and development of business systems.
  • Train and mentor junior designers and business partners.

Technical/Functional Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience working with Adobe CQ (AEM), core JAVA, Maven, and Jenkins integration.
  • Adobe CQ5 / WEM foundational concepts and a solid understanding of CQ building blocks, SLING, FELIX, JSR-170.
  • Core working knowledge of Java.
  • Experience with web languages/technologies including HTML5, CSS3, Responsive Web Design, jQuery, Bootstrap, Ajax, etc.
  • Experience in the design and development of reusable frameworks effectively leveraging design patterns.
  • Strong understanding of web architecture concepts (session, cache, cookies, connection pooling).
  • Experience working with REST, Sling and SOAP in a production environment.
  • Comfortable with data exchange protocols like JSON and XML.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Experience and desire to work within a fast-paced, iterative development environment; experience with Agile a strong plus.
  • Ability to work flexibly and appropriate trade-offs to meet time constraints.
  • Experience with Marketing and Digital Asset Management (DAM) usage and workflows.
  • Experience collaborating with Clients, Project Managers, and other Developers.
  • Knowledge of W3C standards and SEO principles.
  • Knowledge of CSS-preprocessor SASS/LESS and Grunt is desired.
