Position : Network  Infrastructure Engineer with Bluecoat Exp.

Location : Charlotte NC

Duration : 6+ Months

Job Description:

·         The Engineer will provide direct technical support for requirements gathering, design, planning, coordination, and implementation of releases, upgrades, or changes to the Premier computing environment.  

·         Responsible for troubleshooting problems, and the rapid restoration of production service incidents. 

·         Builds partnerships with project teams and works closely with internal and external customers and vendors to provide proposals and supporting analysis for operational improvement and ongoing project requirements. 

·         Possesses an enterprise view of the business environment and the business applications running on the systems being managed, and leverages that knowledge to propose solution enhancements and achieve operational efficiencies.

·         Provide day-to-day guidance and direction to Administrator and collaborate with core team, Project Management, Security, and other cross functional teams to provide the appropriate solution. Core Competencies: Network (LAN/WAN) Communication Concepts; Wireless Network Concepts; Routing and Switching Concepts; Network Security, Firewalls, and IPS Concepts; Remote Access Concepts; Internet DNS Concepts; Operating System & TCP/IP Networking Concepts; Ability to solve problems and troubleshoot to provide solutions; Technologies:   Cisco Nexus/UCS/ACS/ASA/ISE, F5, Checkpoint, Riverbed, Infoblox, TCP/IP, SNMP, SMTP, Radius, RSA, FCOE, IBM Proventia IPS, MPLS/BGP, OSPF, 802.11, 802.1X,  QOS, Operating Systems (Linux, Solaris, AIX, Windows Server), Cisco handsets, IP phones, VOIP, POTS, PRIs, Voice & SIP gateways, ACD.

 

Job Responsibilities:

·         A Bachelor's degree (BA, BS) required.

·         4  years of experience in one or more of the following Infrastructure Technologies: Networks, Storage, Server Platforms, Data Center Facilities.

·         Minimum of 2 years supporting an Application Development environment.

·         This role requires a proficiency in primary technology domain concepts and ability use these skills to quickly produce something of value.

·         F5 Load Balancer

·         BlueCoat Proxy Experience
