Re: [MTC Global] What are the attributes of an outstanding teacher?

Dear All,
The outstanding teacher is the one , who could connect with students. Even though, this connection can be described behaviourally, it confounds with his values and dispositions. According to my research, there are some behavioural description (Kumar, V. Connectivity-An elixir, Mentor, Vol. 5 (10), 2012):
1. Humble attitude ( accepts that how he could be wrong and accepting of his low readiness).
2. Communication of relevance
3. Openness: Readiness for differing perspective
4. Fostering belongingness.
5. Encouraging enquiry.

Thank you very much dear colleagues for all valuable contributions.

To me, an outstanding teacher is the one who identify where each student wants to go, and lead/guide them to reach there.

I remember my best teacher, he is the first person who told me about my strengths, and supported me for reaching that goal.

Warm Regards
