Position: Salesforce Business Analyst/Administrator

Location: Cambridge, MA

Duration: 7+ Months

 

The HR team is in need of a resource to act as the solution designer and in-house expert on our salesforce platform, which is used within HR as a case management tool, an enterprise-wide HR portal, a knowledge management solution, and a community/chatter collaboration tool. This person will be part of the People Systems team working on projects that require you to leverage your in-depth understanding of the salesforce platform (focused on case management, queue configuration, knowledge, chatter, community portals, user and permissions administration) to partner with HR stakeholders on solutions the platform can offer. This person will define requirements for end to end HR solutions. This person will work with members of the People Services leadership team, other HR COEs, IT, and outside vendors to collaboratively develop comprehensive and sustainable solutions, helping Biogen HR to fully leverage the salesforce platform.

 

This person will perform requirements gathering activities as well as requirements documentation including data flow diagrams by working with the multiple stakeholders. This individual will need to be skilled both as a BA and solution consultant and as a 'doer' – someone who can understand the business requirements and then work to configure and perform administration tasks within the salesforce platform to deliver a solution. In some cases, the person will partner with IT or outside developers to build a full solution to an HR business opportunity, focused on automation and improvement of HR service delivery.

 

The candidate must:

- Have 5-7 years prior experience working as a business analyst.

- Have extensive experience as an administrator and configure of the salesforce platform, with particular skills in case management, knowledge, community, chatter, permissions, queues, and users.

- Have strong familiarity with data mapping, data flow diagrams and requirements documentation best practices

- Have strong analytical and creative problem solving skills

- Be process oriented (i.e. change control, requirement gathering, process flow diagramming, testing, etc).

- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Be capable of working on multiple projects at once.

- Be able to work independently

-Be able to work well on matrixed teams.
